What a Dynamic and Flexible Assessment Process May Look Like

1️⃣ A Tailored Beginning - Your Choice, Your Comfort
There is no fixed starting point. Some families or individuals want an in-depth consultation first, while others prefer me to gather information, complete observations, or review reports before collaborating. I adapt to the pace and style that feels most helpful for you. Nothing is set in stone.

2️⃣ Flexible & Individualised Approach
Every person and family engages differently. My role is to fit around your needs and I need to know what works best for you. Whether you prefer detailed conversations, written updates, or minimal input until you’ve had time to reflect, letting me know your preferences helps me shape the process to match your priorities.

I use a combination of:

  • Standardised tools and structured assessments

  • Observations at home, school, or other settings

  • Interviews, discussions, or video calls

  • Video analysis and caregiver questionnaires (when direct assessment isn’t possible)

3️⃣ Report & Recommendations - You’ll receive a detailed, evidence-based report outlining strengths, challenges, and practical strategies tailored to your environment.

4️⃣ Follow-Up Support - If needed, I offer consultation sessions to help you implement recommendations at home, school, or work.

This process can take place in my Ilkley office, at home, in school, in the workplace, or in another environment that best suits the individual.
